Cellular Phone Model Identification:
If you don't know your Cellular phone's model number, here's how you can find out.
If you have the original box it came in or your receipt it should be listed
there, you can also contact the dealer you purchased the phone from.
Remove the battery from the back of your phone and inspect the tag (see
diagram below). Somewhere on that tag is the phone's brand and model number. Use
this when making upgrades or selecting accessories for your phone.

Model Identification for Motorola Phones:
Find the model and serial numbers on your Cellular Phone.
Motorola Handheld Phone
Turn the phone off. Remove the battery and battery door (if applicable). The
model and serial numbers are located on the phone, near the white FCC ID label.
(See Example Below)
Important: Then call Motorola at 1-800-331-6456 to get Motorola's customer
service department to translate that ID into the sales model number that also matches the
owner's manual.

Motorola Carry or Bag Phone
Turn the phone off. The model and serial numbers for a carry phone are found
on the transceiver, which is the black box or 'brain' of the phone.
Follow the handset coil cord into the carry case. It attaches to the
transceiver. (The type and SWF number on the handset do NOT refer to the model
or serial number of the cellular phone. The type number on the handset only
refers to what type of handset is used with the phone.)
Turn the transceiver over. The model and serial numbers are displayed on a
bar code near the FCC ID label.
Important: Then call Motorola at 1-800-331-6456 to get Motorola's customer
service department to translate that ID into the sales model number that also matches the
owner's manual.
Motorola Mobile Phone (installed)
Turn the phone off. The model and serial numbers for a mobile phone are
found on the transceiver, which is the black box or “brain” of the phone. Mobile
phone transceivers are usually installed in the trunk of a vehicle and may
require removal to view the serial numbers.
If you cannot get to the transceiver of your installed cellular phone, or
have trouble identifying the numbers, you may need to contact your place of
purchase or network service provider for information regarding your
phone.
The type and SWF number on the handset do NOT refer to the model or serial
number of the cellular phone. The type number on the handset only refers to what
type of handset is used with the phone.
Important:
Then call Motorola at 1-800-331-6456 to get Motorola's customer service department to
translate that ID into the sales model number that also matches the
owner's manual.
