Installation of a Audiovox CDM-4000/ CDM-9000 faceplate or antenna is fairly simple, and only requires a tiny Philips head screwdriver. Just follow the instructions below:
Important: These instructions are to guide you through the process and are to be used at your own risk. Do not poke at the circuit board! Do not have any other power source attached! 1) Remove the battery from the back of the Audiovox CDM-4000/ CDM-9000 cell phone. 2) Remove the 3 screws that lie underneath where the battery fits, using a small size Phillips screwdriver. 3) Un-snap all sides of the faceplate. You can use your fingernail or a thin blade screwdriver, and wedge between the faceplate and the backside of the phone. As you un-snap all sides of the cell phone, you should actually hear a snap sound confirming release.) 4) Lift off the faceplate. Remove the clear colored keypad/ keymat from the front of the faceplate. Gently remove the black rubber cover from the right side of phone. Use a small tool to gently push the rubber piece through to remove it. Be careful of the "cone shaped" rubber piece covering the headset jack port. Gently push it through to remove it, or it will break off. If you do break off a piece of the rubber, the rubber will not attach to the faceplate. The cell phone will work just fine without it however. 5) Replace the keypad into the new faceplate. Using very clean hands, firmly press each key to ensure it is properly seated. Oils from your hands can prevent the electrical contacts from working the keymat/ keypad properly. 6) With the faceplate face down, keypad/ keymat inserted, lay the cell phone down into the faceplate. Go along all sides of the faceplate, squeezing firmly to snap it together. 7) Gently replace the black rubber cover from the right side of phone. Use a small tool to gently push the rubber piece through to install it. 8) Replace the 3 Phillips screws. Tighten each screw just a bit, then go back and tighten some more, attempting to gain equal pressure when tightening the screws. 9) Place the new plastic lens cover on the front of the faceplate, being careful not to leave any fingerprints on the inside of the lens cover. 10) Replace the battery on the back of the cell phone, & enjoy your new faceplate!
Installation of a Qualcomm/ Kyocera QCP-860/ QCP-1960/ QCP-2760 faceplate or antenna is fairly simple, and only requires a Torx T-6 screwdriver. Just follow the instructions below: Important: These instructions are to guide you through the process and are to be used at your own risk. Do not poke at the circuit board! Do not have any other power source attached! A T-6 Torx Screwdriver bit will fit those tiny screws on the back of the cell phone to permit removal of the circuit board... Remove battery pack & screw with screwdriver. Remove the two shorter screws at the bottom backside of the cell phone. Using a small blade or fingernail, start at the bottom and unsnap back-plate of cell phone from the front-plate, without disconnecting the wires! Lie the cellular phone so that the face is down, & back-plate with internal parts facing up (like a sandwich). Gently pry the earpiece speaker up from the faceplate. Remove the silver colored piece of foam from the faceplate (next to the speaker). Place the silver foam piece into the new faceplate. Lift the circuit board from the faceplate. Remove the keypad. With a screwdriver, gently push out the black rubber microphone from the faceplate. Insert this black rubber microphone into the new faceplate. Press new rubber keypad into the new faceplate, checking all buttons seat into faceplate. Place circuit board white side down & on top of keypad. Press on all four sides to snap circuit into place. Check keypad fit. Place earpiece speaker plastic down/ silver side up & into the faceplate. Replace the circuit board LCD down & into the new faceplate. Snap in the top side first, then snap down on all four sides. Replace backing of the faceplate colored side up (Snap in top first, then sides). Replace battery using longest screw. Reassemble bottom with two remaining T-6 Torx screws, alternating pressure side to side. Make a test call to check for proper microphone & speaker operation! Keep your factory faceplate in case you need it for a warranty claim. Please Note:A Torx T-6 Screwdriver is needed to change the faceplate.
Installation of a Kyocera QCP-2119/ QCP-2135 faceplate or antenna is fairly simple. Just follow the instructions below: Important: These instructions are to guide you through the process and are to be used at your own risk. Do not poke at the circuit board! Do not have any other power source attached! To change your faceplate, hold phone face down in palm with antenna pointing down. Place your thumb on ridges of the battery door. Push down with your thumb and slide the door away from you until it stops (about 1/2 inch). Alternating between your thumb and index finger, lift edges of faceplate until both sides release from phone. Completely remove faceplate and keypad. Lay the keypad flat inside your Patriotic faceplate. Align slots at the top of your phone to posts on faceplate, then close until latched together. Slide battery door closed until it clicks into place.
Installation of a Motorola V120c/ V120e/ V120t/ V120x faceplate or antenna is fairly simple, and only requires a Torx T-6 screwdriver. Just follow the instructions below: Important: These instructions are to guide you through the process and are to be used at your own risk. Do not poke at the circuit board! Do not have any other power source attached! A T-6 Torx Screwdriver bit will fit those tiny screws on the back of the cell phone to permit removal of the circuit board... Remove all the screws from the back of the phone, a total of 12 screws, with a Torx #6 driver. The antenna connection is now freely accessible for replacement. Remove the entire circuit board from the faceplate. Transfer the speaker and the rubber switches from the old faceplate to the new one. Attach the entire circuit board and the back part of the phone to the new faceplate. Then Re-Install all of the 12 screws.
Please Note:A Torx T-6 Screwdriver is needed to change the faceplate.
Installation of a Nextel-iDen i60c/ i90c faceplate or antenna is fairly simple, and only requires a Torx T-9* screwdriver. Just follow the instructions below: Important: These instructions are to guide you through the process and are to be used at your own risk. Do not poke at the circuit board! Do not have any other power source attached! A T-9* Torx Screwdriver bit will fit those tiny screws on the back of the cell phone to permit removal of the circuit board...
1. Remove the battery and battery housing from the phone.
2. Unscrew the antenna.
3. Remove the silver antenna housing located in the battery compartment.
4. Unscrew the 4 Torx T-9 screws from the back of the phone. You will need a special T-9 Torx screwdriver (which we do not sell).
5. Open the phone and be careful not to loose any pieces or screws.
6. Have the flip open at this point and have the keypad facing you.
7. Push the keypad buttons out.
8. Locate the piece of rubber on the keypad at the top that is around a copper ribbon.
9. Unplug the connector attached to the copper ribbon by pulling up on the connector.(Do not pull the ribbon) Tweezers or a tiny flathead screwdriver make this part easier.
10. Remove the factory keypad.
11. Install the Clear keypad and plug the connector back into the circuit board. Press evenly around the entire connector.
12. Place the flashing light panel on the circuit board located beneath where the keypad rests.
13. Take the ribbon attached to the light panel and wrap it around to the othe side of the phone board.
14. Make sure the two copper leads are positioned to touch the two outer battery terminal prongs.
15. Close the phone and place the screws back in.
16. BEFORE TIGHTENING THE SCREWS, make sure you adjust the light panel leads so that they are touching the outer two battery prongs.
17. Tighten the Torx T-9 screws, replace the antenna housing, the antenna, and the battery and you're done!

Installation of a Nokia 3285/ 5110/ 5120/ 5125/ 5160/ 5165/ 5170/ 5180/ 5185/ 5190/ 6110/ 6120/ 6160/ 6160i/ 6161/ 6162/ 6168/ 6170/ 6180/ 6185/ 6190/ 7160/ 7190 antenna is fairly simple, and only requires a Torx T-6 screwdriver. Remove battery. Remove the 4 screws with the Torx T-6 screwdriver.Turn the cellular phone so that the face is down. This ensures that the earpiece will not fall out of position! Carefully separate the faceplate from the base. Remove the 2 silver screws. Carefully separate the green circuit board and riser from the base of the phone. Remove gold screw. Separate the green circuit board from the backplate. Push the latch on the antenna while pulling antenna out. Push new antenna into housing with gold contact positioned on the circuit board as before. Be certain gold contact touches circuit board even if you need to bend the gold contact. This is the cause of “roam or no signal” problems!Notice on the new antenna that it has a plastic prong that locks it into place. Reassemble. Keep your factory antenna in case you need it for a warranty claim. Please Note:A Torx T-6 Screwdriver is needed to change the faceplate.
Installation of a Nokia 6110/ 6120/ 6160/ 6160i/ 6161/ 6162/ 6168/ 6170/ 6180/ 6185/ 6190 face plate or antenna is fairly simple, and only requires a Torx T-6 screwdriver. Just follow the instructions below: Important: These instructions are to guide you through the process and are to be used at your own risk. Do not poke at the circuit board! Do not have any other power source attached! A T-6 Torx Screwdriver bit will fit those tiny screws on the back of the cell phone to permit removal of the circuit board... Remove battery. Remove the four screws with the Torx T-6 screwdriver.Turn the cellular phone so that the face is down. This ensures that the earpiece will not fall out of position! Carefully separate the faceplate from the base. Remove outer cutout from the included lens foam padding. Carefully place cutout around the new faceplate window border. Install the earpiece speaker & rubber holder into the faceplate. Make sure the two metal contacts on the earpiece speaker are facing up! Fit the keypad and contact sheet onto the new faceplate. Carefully attach faceplate to the base. Reassemble with four T-6 Torx screws. Press the new lens onto the new faceplate. Keep your factory faceplate in case you need it for a warranty claim. Please Note:A Torx T-6 Screwdriver is needed to change the faceplate.
Nokia 6340/ 6360 faceplate & keypad installation instructions are to be used at your own risk. 1. With the Nokia 6340/ 6360 cell phone turned off, remove the battery cover and the battery. 2. Remove the 4 Torx #6 screws inside the battery compartment using a T-6 Torx screwdriver. For the Nokia 6340i you will also need to remove an additional cover on the back of the phone directly opposite to the speaker. Once removed you will see two more screws that you will need to remove. 3. Once the screws have been removed, the bottom part of the faceplate becomes loose. Gently lift the bottom section of the faceplate off, and unlatch the faceplate at the top of the phone. 4. Remove the speaker piece and power button from the original faceplate and transfer that to the new faceplate. 5. Attach the keypad to the new faceplate. Attach assembled faceplate to the cell phone, being sure to latch the top of the faceplate onto the phone first. 6. Re-attach the screws. Please do not overtighten the screws. 7. Keep the original faceplate for the duration of the original one year warranty. This can then be replaced on your cell phone to allow you to send your cell phone into repair under the manufacturer's OEM warranty, should it ever need repair.
Installation of a Nokia 8260 faceplate or antenna only requires a Torx T-6 screwdriver and a standard jewelers screwdriver. Just follow the instructions below: Important: These instructions are to guide you through the process and are to be used at your own risk. Do not poke at the circuit board! Do not have any other power source attached! A T-6 Torx Screwdriver bit will fit those tiny screws on the back of the cell phone to permit removal of the circuit board... 1) Remove the black back panel covering the battery. 2) Remove the battery. 3) Use T-6 Torx Screwdriver to remove the 4 screws visible, 2 on the bottom, and 2 on either side marked in red, 1 under the antenna cover, and 2 more under that on the phone's main board. 4) Using a small "jewelers" Standard "Flat Head" screwdriver, or a small knife of some kind...place it between the small gap between the black antenna cover which has NOKIA stamped on it, (marked in Blue) and the black back housing of the phone 1/3 of the way on the left, almost directly under the "N", of NOKIA on the Antenna cover. 5) Sliding the screwdriver between the gap, and pulling the top of the screwdriver back towards you, will release the small plastic tab holding the antenna cover on the phone. The Antenna Cover should open from the top like a clamshell, and the golden antenna foil inside should come off with the cover. 6) Under the Antenna Foil, you will find your 5th screw. Remove the screw as you did the prior 4 screws. 7) Remove black back housing cover, and remove the final 2 screws on the top of the circuit board connecting the phone to the faceplate, (red arrows, Middle Photo). 8) Remove the existing faceplate, which will have the headset jack on the side of the phone, and microphone at the bottom still attached. Remove these two parts and place onto the new faceplate . 9) Repeat the steps in backwards sequence, to re-install the new faceplate. 10) Turn on your phone, and begin using it in style! KEEP YOUR OLD OEM NOKIA FACEPLATE! In the unlikely event that you may need service on your phone, you will need to present your phone to the service center with the Original faceplate on the phone. Removing the Original NOKIA faceplate does indeed void the Original Manufacturer's warranty, and NOKIA or any other authorized service center will not honor your warranty. Please Note: A Torx T-6 Screwdriver is needed to change the faceplate.
